Restarting from my last post….

Since my last post…which was quite a long time ago, 6+months I am guessing. Anyways from when ever that was, it turns out that we won at the national level of SkillsUSA.  I also did an internship at a local production company called 2 Ticks & The Dog, Inc., I helped on the website, as well as some of the production throughout the summer months. All of that has led up to now…

Now. Or perhaps currently would be a better term. Anyways, I am now in my 2nd and a half quarter (because I started in a half quarter) at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.  I have been living in downtown Pittsburgh for the past 7 months and I love the city. I actually just got home a little bit ago from taking pictures outside with my camera…I will post a link at the bottom of this post (please check them out, leave a comment). So, the question that I want to know from anyone that is reading this, or maybe just happened to land on my profile, looking for some friends, or what ever…I am wondering if you are interested in my post or perhaps my pictures. What do you think about this project?

Two buddies and myself have created a school project that involves the community surrounding us, but I would like to know how others react and I would like to hear you thoughts as well.  Our project is “Saying No  Without Saying No”  to peer pressure.  We are using this as an  anti-alcohol, drug, and tobacco tool.  We have created  three PSAs(Public Service Announcements), three short films, three comic books, and a website.  This is the project that we won  SkillsUSA States’ with and lately we have presented at an Alternative school, and a smaller school in our community, and a town hall meeting.  Everyone that I have spoken to that have seen this project cannot believe that three high school seniors have produced this project, yet they agree that it is a great idea and we should continue onward.  If you have any comments or opinions, please contact me. Ohio SkillsUSA

Columbus, Ohio, the SkillsUSA Conference was held, winners were announced Saturday, April 26, 2008.  My group placed 1rst in the Tech Prep Showcase-Arts & Communications category.  SkillsUSA Nationals will be held at Kansas City on the of June 22. I am very excited to go, and this also acts as a vacation (it is 1 week).

As you can imagine this is my first weblog.  At the moment I am currently having mixed reactions on how many people will actually view this page and go through my about page and what not.  But anyways I am not really sure what to talk about…so if you do take the time to read this and want to start a topic..go for it.  I have five more weeks of high school..thank god.
